I am the founder and co-owner of Simply Obsessed. I've been married to Boyd for 7 years. We have 2 boys, ages 3 1/2 & 2. In addition to my work here at Simply Obsessed, I work part-time as a Dental Hygienist. I love to camp, fish, ride horses, read, bake, shop, clean and sleep!
I started scrapbooking a little over 10 years ago, (before scrapbooking was really even an industry) and have always tried to capture memories through scrapbooking. It wasn't until September of 2006, when my oldest son was diagnosed with cancer at the age of two that I realized just how imporant it was to document those memories. 9 months into chemotheraphy I found myself obsessed with trying to capture all those fleeting moments. However, our budget didn't allow for much extra because I was only able to work one day a week while trying to keep up with my son's rigorous chemotheraphy schedule (once a week to a hospital 4 1/2 hours away. I was gone anywhere from 1-3 days a week). So that is when the idea of Simply Obsessed was born.
Our goal is to not only help you capture those fleeting moments, but help you create more time to make them!
Shauna Jarvis
My name is Shauna Jarvis. I am lucky enough to have fallen into the position of co-owner of Simply Obsessed. Jaime is wonderful to work with and I get to be a part of something I love. I have been married to Brad for 10 years and am a SAHM to 3 boys and 2 girls. My oldest is 8 and my baby is 8 months old. I am also the secretary for my husband's wholesale ice company. When I have time I love to bake, cook new (simple) recipes, read (if I can stay awake), organize (though you can't really tell when you come to my house), and ebay (love to find the deals!!).
I starting scrapbooking by cutting titles and embellishments out of magazines and constuction paper. That was over 15 years ago when they did not have all these wonderful scrapbooking supplies. I love to capture the things my kids think are amazing, the way they say words and phrases, and to see life through their eyes. With my first couple of kids I always thought there was no way I could ever forget. Life seems to move quickly and the everyday has a way of erasing those moments, but I am well aware of the need to keep these close to your heart. I have found with the birth of my last baby, that time is FLYING by - I have to get my memories on paper! Therefore, I am excited to bring you Simply Obsessed, to help myself and you get all those important (and sometimes mundane) moments on paper.
